THE BOOK
THE Don Quixote, one of those stories that never get old, began to take shape in the mind of Miguel de Cervantes four centuries ago to satirize the romantic chivalric novels that had monopolized interest since the Middle Ages; the fact that it became a foundation and cornerstone of Western literature should therefore discourage any attempt to render it in concise frames and illustrated pages. And yet, the brothers Paul and Gaetán Brizi accept the challenge again and succeed famously: they reconstruct with words, images and full awareness the turbulent history and the "eternal" character of Don Quixote - a knight fearless but also so ridiculously naive, arrogant and at the same time lovable, farcically absurd and incurably consistent to the end, idealist and definitely immortal.
