Every weekend, in basements and parking lots across America, young men with good office jobs, who have grown up without their fathers, throw away their shoes, take off their shirts and wrestle each other, without gloves, for as long as need. The next day they go to work with black eyes and broken teeth, feeling like they can handle anything now. Fight Club is the brainchild of Tyler Darden, a projectionist, waiter and dark, anarchic genius – and it's just the beginning of his plans to wreak revenge on a world where cancer support groups are the last bastion of human warmth.
