A cultured middle-class employee rushes with his beautiful wife to see the crocodile exhibited in the shopping center of St. Petersburg by a greedy German. A moment of inattention is enough for the wild animal to bite him, but the situation does not turn out to be so unpleasant: the unfortunate man not only survives comfortably in the crocodile's belly but also comes to some very beneficial conclusions about himself and the world, taking off the grotesque satire that Dostoevsky masterfully sets up on the surrealist tradition of Nikolai Gogol.
THE CREATOR
THE Fyodor Dostoevsky was a 19th-century Russian novelist and thinker, one of the most important in world literature. His work focuses on human psychology, morality, and existential dilemmas, with well-known novels such as "Crime and Punishment" and "The Brothers Karamazov.".
