Through the actions of a Greek Mafia gang, Dogs of War narrates the connection between organized crime and the unknown world of dogfighting in Greece and the inextricable link between gender-based abuse and violence against animals. The criminological fact that anyone who abuses dogs is more likely to abuse people. His wife. His children. The children of the neighborhood. Your own children. Their mother. Your mother. You yourself. You yourself.

The Dogs of War have good guys and bad guys. Heroines and antiheroes. Informants. Journalists. Activists. Agents. Policewomen. Mafiosi. People who operate in the circles of ELAS and the Mafia. Where these two circles touch. Or intersect. In a story that, inspired by a real journalistic investigation, tells a true drama of double violence. In a world that was made by men for men.

Thodoris Chondrogiannos is a journalist. He was born in 1992. He grew up in the Arvanitochori villages of Menidi and Paiania. He studied at the Law School of Athens.
