DRACULA

In the eerie, gothic shadows of Eastern Europe, a young solicitor named Jonathan Harker embarks on a journey that will forever change his destiny. As he travels to the remote castle of Count Dracula, he is unknowingly drawn into a dark and chilling world of supernatural horror. Soon, Harker discovers that his host is no mere nobleman, but a centuries-old vampire whose thirst for blood is insatiable. What follows is a relentless battle between Good and Evil, as Dracula unleashes his malevolent power across Victorian England.

Bram Stoker's masterful tale weaves a suffocating atmosphere of terror that has captivated readers for generations, slowly tightening around its characters with each turn of the page. Through diary entries, letters, and newspaper clippings, Dracula builds suspense with a deft hand, offering readers an experience both thrilling and haunting. Stoker's skillful use of the Gothic genre creates a world filled with foreboding landscapes, ancient superstitions, and terrifying creatures lurking just beyond sight. With its eerie mood and timeless themes of fear, desire, and corruption, Dracula remains a cornerstone of horror literature. Experience the chilling darkness of Stoker's world – a place where the night is never truly safe, and where the line between the living and the dead grows ever thinner.

Dracula was first published in 1897. It was mainly written in the form of diaries and journals by the key characters of the book: Jonathan Harker, who made the first contact with the vampire Count Dracula; Wilhelmina (“Mina”) Harker, Jonathan's wife later in the book; Dr. John (“Jack”) Seward, a psychiatrist; and Lucy Westenra, Mina's friend and Dracula's victim who herself becomes a vampire. The story is this: a Transylvanian vampire who, with his supernatural powers, makes his way to England and starts to turn innocent people into his victims in order to gain the blood on which he survives. Led by Dr. Abraham Van Helsing, Harker and his friends, after many sinister encounters and terrifying adventures, are at last able to destroy Dracula. Dracula has become immensely popular in Western popular culture and has had many adaptations for film, television, and the stage.
