The first presentation of the book by Deputy Regional Governor Thanasis Avgerinos "The flying child... and 30 short stories" took place yesterday in the packed event hall of the Municipality of Vari-Voulas-Vouliagmenis under the auspices of Mayor Grigoris Constantellos.

A large number of Local Government officials gathered, while the Deputy Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Sofia Voultepsi, the distinguished actor and Regional Councilor, Athanasios Viskadourakis, and the Author himself stood out with their presence on the panel. The event was coordinated by the Communication Manager of Brainfood publications, Elena Spandoni. The Mayor of Vari-Voulas-Vouliagmenis, Grigoris Konstandellos, addressed a greeting, while the Regional Governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, sent a congratulatory letter.

The event began with the reading by the Regional Councilor Athina Konstandellou of the existential monologue from the book of Mr. Avgerinos which "warmed up" and moved the audience, to be followed by the direct, dense and eloquent speech of the Deputy Minister about the book and emotions her when she read it. This was followed by a reading of excerpts by the actor Mr. Viskadurakis, which was accompanied by cheers and applause from the audience.

The event concluded with the Author signing copies at the Brainfood booth outside.

In addition to officials from the central political scene and the Local Government, the event was attended by people from the field of Art, Culture and the Book, whom we sincerely thank for responding to the call of our publications.

Brainfood publications and Mr. Avgerinos made an appointment with their audience for the presentation of the Deputy Governor's next book that will deal with the sensitive issue of Hellenism in Asia Minor, describing the migration of a couple from the island of Kos to Smyrna and what world history, alongside their personal adventure, will take place there during the turbulent years of the Asia Minor Catastrophe.

The book will also be presented in Thessaloniki, on May 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the "Ioannou" Hall, as part of the city's International Book Fair (DEBTH).
