This is not another version of it 1984. It is probably the best that has been published in our country and you will understand it from the beginning, from the moment you hold the book in your hands and touch its cover.

That 1984 (original title: The Last Man in Europe) was the first book he wrote after the death of his wife, Eileen, and the only one after he was recognized as a major name in prose. Author Biography:

In just 47 years of life, George Orwell (real name Eric Arthur Blair, 1903-1950) managed to do a lot: he was taught French by Aldous Huxley, met the later great historian/Byzantineologist Stephen Runciman, met and managed to infuriate H. .J. Wells, an admired writer, lunched with Henry Miller, who called him a "fool", married twice, adopted a baby boy and took part in the Spanish Civil War in 1936 – where he was seriously wounded in the neck by a sniper and returned to England disappointed, because while he himself believed that he was fighting Franco for the Republic, in the end he found himself a meteor among the Communists, Trotskyists and Socialists of Catalonia.
