Sometimes the best things come out of nowhere, where you least expect them. This is how Thomas Ligotti appeared in the field of horror literature and it didn't take him long to attract the admiration of readers, critics, and even the greatest authors of the genre. Inaccessible to the degree of recluse, but extremely talented, Ligotti is not just a worthy successor in the literary tradition of HP Lovecraft, but the creator of an elaborate stylistic amalgam of philosophy, surrealism, Gothic suffocation, Lovecraftian cosmic horror and the lyricism of Poe, all seen through his wholly personal, seductively distorting lens. He does not write novels, only short stories and short stories - however he has already managed to win numerous literary awards with his collections, the most important of which is The Nightmare Factory. Thomas Ligotti was born in 1953 in Detroit, where he still lives. He describes his work as "nihilistic fiction". *Note: The Greek version of the Nightmare Factory does not contain all the short stories of the corresponding American version. The short stories included were selected by Thomas Ligotti and Vassilis Bambouris.
