The Furfouri editions are very proud to present the award-winning book THE MAGIC OF SOUNDS, first of the series "I hear - I see - I feel the world", by the duo of talented Ukrainian illustrators Romana Romanyshyn – Andriy Lesiv.
The book visualizes the sounds of the whole world and how we perceive them, as well as silence, as part of interacting with our environment, while emphasizing the importance of both listening and paying attention to what we hear. and to understand even without the words.
The function of receiving sounds from the organs of our body, music and its evolution over the years, the Greek alphabet in sign language, but also the magic of silence, are just some of the topics presented in the book's salons, the which is printed in her colors PANTONE.
The book won the 2018 Bologna Ragazzi Award - one of the most important in the field of children's books worldwide-, the institution that since 1966 honors the best children's books.

About the creators:
THE Romana Romanyshyn and Andriy Lesiv both born in Lviv, Ukraine in 1984, where they still live and work. They are both graduates of the Lviv Academy of Fine Arts, while Andriy Lesiv holds an MA and PhD in technical criticism from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. They are the creators of Agrafka Art Studio, which has received dozens of awards and accolades from international exhibitions. Their latest award concerns the illustration and design of the book Optics of God by Ukrainian poet Maryana Savka, which won a gold medal at the European Design Awards.
