A documentary book – How ERT turned into Maximus' mouthpiece

For the first time in the light a revealing testimony through ERT, for turning it into an instrument of government propaganda.

THE Spyros Kribalis - an executive selected by the government - reveals all the dark background he lived until he was led to the exit. The secret meetings, the pressures, the "colleagues" of the system, the games with the productions. The schemes to turn public television into a government mouthpiece.

THE shocking testimony of a TV professional who confronts the deep rot of the system just because he insists on doing his job. Sometimes detached and sometimes warm, he reveals with penetration and humor an invisible but deeply familiar world. The Radio Megaro is presented as the ideal setting for a hilarious tragedy that goes beyond the limits of the staff and clearly highlights aspects of our national pathology.

Spyros Kribalis was born in 1972 in Athens. He studied law and philosophy of law at the University of Athens. He has worked as a copywriter in advertising, as a program consultant at MEGA for 17 years and as a commissioned program consultant at ERT. As a screenwriter, he has co-written the scripts of the films "Polaroid", "The Dog's Dream", "Still River" and "Zizotek". He has also published short stories in literary magazines and articles in 'Popaganda'.
