COLD GROUND

Belfast, May 1981. Two men are found dead with a bullet to the head and their right arm severed. Before more information about the case is known, a woman is found hanged deep in the woods - it is definitely a suicide. The police have their attention on the Unrest, which won't let up, the ongoing hunger strike of jailed IRA members and the serious incidents that rock the city every day. But unconventional young cop Sean Duffy is determined to follow the invisible thread that connects the murders to the end. Not counting the cost.

Using his dark lyricism and the turbulent history of Northern Ireland as a vehicle, Adrian McKindy introduces us to the labyrinthine universe of Sean Duffy, a policeman who knows well that the more absurd reality becomes, the more dimensions the truth acquires.
