Oxy publications are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the most important youth movement and are releasing a book dedicated to May 68. As much as the term Revolution is intended to stir up the restlessness of human nature, no movement will move so many and so heterogeneous people as much as the movement of that Spring.
May 68 was the only revolution that was started by rebel artists and not by isolated intellectuals. It was the movement that spoke about the Art of everyday life. It was the attempt to serve Poetry since the Revolution when, until then, according to Breton, Poetry was what followed. It was the undermining of the collapsed value system and the invention of new, more meaningful, ideas.
The book May 68 – The celebration of poetry, the poetry of the celebration is a youthful postcard that Time sends to friends and comrades and together an invitation to the burning and restless youth who are preparing the next revolutions. A few words about the authors George-Ikaros Babasakis was born in April 1960. He is a poet, translator and writer. Since the late 1990s, he has founded and directed the magazine Propaganda, which publishes critical texts on the politics and culture of our times, and produces and presents radio shows. Multitasking and always restless, he never stopped looking for the adventure of poetry and the poetry of adventure As he often says, he acts and writes "with a heart of fire and a mind of ice". Paris Koutsikos was born in 1967, he is a graphic designer and artistic director of OXY publications.
