The famous music book series "33 1/3" continues to offer us through the Acid publications new titles in Greek as well. His book is in order Philip Shaw for the album Horses her Patti Smith.
Having bohemianly plowed the streets of New York in her black coat and her poems, patti smith, this androgynous, disheveled figure with the unwavering gaze and adoration for rembo, it is driven 1975 in the creation and recording of her first album, the Horses.
It is a record that overflows with emotion, originality and personal references, but also a record that opened a completely new scene in the field of music as well as female expression – if not of no gender artistic interpretation – giving the pure rock expression of the era inside in the chaotic jumble that would give birth, in those same days, to punk.
THE Philip Shaw is Associate Professor of English at the University of Leicester and a writer.
The foreword of the book is signed by the journalist, radio producer and translator John Nenes.
As part of the internationally beloved book series "33 1/3", which is published in Greek by Acid publications in collaboration with Avopolis.gr, landmark records of world music are presented.
