GOD AND MUSIC
Vassilis Tsapropoulos, in the essay "God and Music", analyzes his metaphysical argument for the origin of music, its primary component and special nature that make it unique as a concept.
The main question that runs through the essay of the well-known pianist and orchestra director is the following: Does the art of music ultimately exist as a transcendent predicate of divine creation, or does it simply remain an autonomous, specific function of externalizing emotions, which people, in ignorance them, they call "expression"? .
How could the musician feel God through his music, the keys of his piano or the bow of his violin? Is there some little secret that would make this transcendent union possible?
“If God, in the heart of a musician, was the definition of a perfect composer, how would His work sound through the divine natura? Would it be captured as a commanding maestoso, a majestic grave, a lively allegro movement or a quiet narrative adagio? Would His music contain the necessary expressive elements that would make Him accessible and understandable to His listener? Is there an explanatory musical term sufficient to characterize His compositional style, His imprinted timbre in the works of His creation, for example con anima, con gracia, con fuoco perhaps?'
