Greek Psycho is a humorous and subversive novel that satirizes the modern Greek reality, the Greece of modernization, the EMU and the Olympic games and projects. His hero, a corrupt contractor, who builds cheap houses by oiling urban planning and sells them at a high price to immigrants, a ruthless conman who tries to catch the girl at any price. Although he will find himself in the spotlight after a killer earthquake in which twelve of his buildings collapse, he will manage to escape justice and the press and become known as the most incorruptible engineer in the country. Then, he will be solemnly commissioned to build the Olympic Village, and the door to high society, publicity, the Concert Hall, and Cyrillic doghouses will open before him. With the story of the contractor as a vehicle and using a stormy and sarcastic cinematography with suspense and a detective plot, the protagonists of entanglement and modern Greek corruption parade: corrupt ministers, paid journalists, Greek pop divas, mobsters, SDOE employees, foreign petty criminals, up to a serial killer who operates unmolested in the Athenian underworld. The Greek Psycho documents and surveys the ultimate neo-Greek psychosis, the Zeitgeist of modern Greece, through merciless sarcasm, its interesting story and the hero's delusional self-introspection, his autopsychographic texts interjected into the plot. About the author: Nikos Vladis was born in 1973. He studied civil engineering and has a PhD in urban planning. He has published the novels: Alcibiades Desmotis (2000), www.tospitimas.gr (2002), I want to be alone for a while to think (2003). He is the editor of the magazines Vimadonna and Free and a contributor to the literary review "Na una milo" directed by Lori Keza. He lives in Athens. I had the pleasure of reading a talented young Greek author, Nikos Vladis, with humor, knowledge and excellent technological "in-house" preparation. He gave me the "message", not necessarily "of the writing of the new generation", but the rather hard-to-find message of talent"Yiannis Xanthoulis, Eleftherotypia "Who said that ventures like this should not thrive? In response, Vladis' book would laugh. And the young hero would smile. If anything remains standing in the "house", it is surely the author of it" Manolis Andiotakis, Eleftherotypia
