KONARY

"Konario" is the second book by Vassilis Arnautoglou under the umbrella of Oxy publications. Before that, "Frangelio", a presentable and very dark graphic novel with a particularly poetic mood, appeared on bookstore shelves. The second attempt outlines a mythical surf of the Greek underground. Full of a continuous plot that leaves no room for respite for the reader, "Konario" leads our senses through an Athens that is "drowning". Right reason, surrealism burning in black and white figures, despair, key solution... It could be a modern tragedy or a theatrical pantomime. "Konario" is real, without guilt or barriers. The language is harsh, without limits, but always stylized and in love with the figures posing next to it. This second book by Vassilis Arnautoglou could be one of the few (perhaps the only!) atmospheric games, a path unknown at the borders of The Exorcist and at the beginning of a surreal version of Pulp Fiction, full of humor and bitter, absolute truth. Our eyes will now always be open to anything. Note: The different spelling of the word "conarium" - instead of the correct "conarium" - is due to the invention of the author and has a fictional connection with the gland of the brain, which is also called the pineal gland.
