The RUN RUN is the first novel in his award-winning tetralogy John Updike starring "Rabbit" Angstrom. It runs in series Oxy publications – FOREIGN LITERATURE with Epimeter her Sotis Triantaphyllou.

The most important literary legacy of the multi-awarded American writer John Updike his character is considered to this day "Rabbit" angstroms in a row The Rabbit series. A tetralogy that follows him at different stages of his life. From 1961 to Run away until 1990 in THE Hare is resting. The 3rd title in the series The Hare has money  and the 4th The Hare is resting, were honored with a Pulitzer Prize. In 2010, the magazine Time included Lage Trexe in the hundred best novels of the last hundred years.

In the first novel of the tetralogy, the fake happiness, the thirst for life, the inscrutable existential impasse can be distinguished. But also the irresistible escapist tendencies of the archetypal "average American" of the 50s.

THE Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom, a high school basketball star, is married to Janice at 26. They are expecting their second child. He makes a living demonstrating a "miracle" peeler for the kitchen. Another one of the dozens of new-fangled household appliances that flooded the market of optimistic post-war America. Until suddenly the Rabbit discovers that all he wants is to leave. He wants to leave behind life in the suburbs of his small town in Pennsylvania. And with it all the prescribed future in store for him. But how far can he really go?
