A play entitled The king in yellow and makes anyone who reads it lose their sanity forever. A writer who influenced all the "greats" of horror, with HP being the first Lovecraft and the creation of his fictional universe that absorbs the reader into it. Ten loosely connected stories that span from the bleak America of the 1920s as the author imagines it to the artistic Paris of the late 19th century as he lived it. A writing distinguished both for its lyricism and its macabre descriptiveness. A hidden literary gem that still shines, more than a century after its release.

"I pray God to curse the author, as the author has cursed the world with this beautiful, wonderful creation, so hideous in its simplicity and irresistible in its truth…”

THE Robert O. Chambers born in New York in 1865, studied at the Polytechnic Institute Brooklyn and then at the Fine Arts schools of New York and Paris, participating in the famous Salon as early as 1889. Returning to America he sold his drawings to magazines LifeTruth and Vogue, however then, for unknown reasons, devoted himself exclusively to writing horror stories. The king in yellow considered his most important work.
