GOVERNMENT AND WAR PLANNING IN THE CRISIS OF 1922
Unknown aspects of the Asia Minor Catastrophe
After his much-discussed book "The Commissioner's Last Days", on the role of the High Commissioner of Smyrna Aristides Stergiadis in the Asia Minor Catastrophe, The Konstantinos D. Vlassis it comes back through the releases ARCHIVE with a new project that attempts to shed light on the socio-political and military facts of the time.
The starting point for this book is placed in August 1922, when the newspaper "Daily" published the historical articles a few days apart "Ikade" and "The Pomeranians", which both stirred up storms of reactions in the strongly polarized climate of the era of the National Division and have been imprinted in the collective memory ever since.
But what were the real springs and position for his Asia Minor Georgiou Vlachos, publisher of the newspaper, and in what context was she pushed "Daily" in its publication "Look," of an article that supposedly called for the army to leave Asia Minor in the midst of the Turkish offensive that would break up the Greek front?
A thorough, documented investigation that attempts to illuminate unknown aspects and unsettled parameters of the tragic events of the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
