The living are unpredictable. The National Book Center, against its necrophilic tradition, decides to honor as Author of the Year an author who is still breathing. The Ministry of Culture, the Society of Authors and the book guilds are struggling, either to bring the decision to their own devices or to decommission it. In the end, the anointing is won by the one who disturbs the most people the least. It soon turns out that the Writer of the Year is not so convenient and docile. Unacknowledged desires and avowed interests mingle. Public opinion is indifferent to what is going on, until a scandal breaks out that will awaken its morbid curiosity. A thread will now separate the honored person from the scapegoat.

PRESS COMMENTS:

"We are glad to find again the gifted storyteller, the master of the pageturner, as the Anglo-Saxons call the book read in one piece, the ironist who knows how to convince that he is merely exposing the irony of life itself, the sharp observer who can look from the outside while being inside ».
DIMOSTHENIS KOURTOVIK, The News

"The book wins the reader with the drama of its faces and with the inner weaving of its events, makes us think better about various aspects of public life and seduces us fruitfully and cheerfully in its unsettling logic."
VANGELIS HATZIVASSILEIOU, Eleftherotypia

"And precisely because - or even though - Tatsopoulos has rubbed shoulders with the local "spiritual world" like few others, he manages to distance himself and present it with admirable perspicacity, achieving the desired ratio between cauterization and indulgence, dirt and melancholy."
A.A. Chomenidis, To Vima

"Tatsopoulos does not moralize. He doesn't even exclude himself."
LIDA KAZANTZAKI, The Dawn

"We'll say it up front: The Honorable Enneken is an amazing novel."
CHRISTOS PAPAGEORGIOU, Highlights
