Author

Lauren Slater holds an MA in Psychology from Harvard University and a PhD from Boston University. She is the author of the books “Welcome to My Country”, “Prozac Diary” and “Love Works Like This”. She has also contributed to the New York Times and Harper's, Elle, and Nerve magazines, and her work has been featured in The Best American Essays annuals in 1994 and 1997. She works as a psychologist and lives with her family in Massachusetts.
